VOLUNTeering in local schools

BHLM was born as an organisation striving to be the champion our children and young people desperately need. As a non-clinical service, we want to provide knowledge, understanding, and a fresh perspective to supporting the mental health & well-being of our future generations.

One of our volunteers in a local primary school.

We have started providing local primary schools with BHLM ‘Hearts,’ to provide 1-1’s on a needs basis, to support the well-being of our children. The sessions are adapted to suit each individual, and led by trained volunteers, who choose to spend their time providing this service.

The very first preschooler class back in 2019, was aimed at supporting the emotional and cognitive development of Little Minds. It was here that Laura quickly realised that the families made the choice to bring their children to this class, and the realisation was that many children who would need this service, may not be able to access it, for a variety of reasons.

Laura spent several years working in schools and understands the challenges that some educational settings face due to funding, staffing, and supporting a class with a variety of different needs.

We believe that our children’s well-being should be supported, regardless of how much - or little - funding is available.

If you can support our projects by volunteering or donating, please get in touch.

We also have an Amazon Wish List for items we use in our sessions. We thank everyone who has taken the time to support us so far. You can find more information on this here.
